AU CHARACTERISTICS●● In his AU, Max didn't snap his neck and instead just rendered him unconcious. Lydecker and his men got to Ben seconds later and quickly took him back to Manticore. There was an attempt to "fix" him after his leg healed, but being in the outside world so long left Ben stronger mentally. He took a silent approach and was often left in solitary on his own for days since Lydecker wasn't sure what to do with him anymore.

They were about to put him through Psy-Ops, but Ben escaped when the fire broke out and Manticore burned to the ground. He had more knowledge of what to do this time around in the world so he went into hiding in a forest for almost a year's time. Only when Terminal City was established did he begin to come out again in the open. He has still yet to travel to the city or let his fellow X5s know he's alive.
